VetAgroSup National Veterinary School

VetAgroSup is a higher education and research institution under the aegis of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food that trains veterinarians, agricultural engineers and veterinary public health inspectors. VetAgro Sup is located in two regions: Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes. Our main goals are the training of veterinarians and engineers, the production of knowledge, supporting economic actors in the food sciences, animal health, agronomic sciences and the environment. We train students around multiple professionnal veterinarian and agronomic professions (animal health, public healths, animal protection and security, environmental protection, nutrition and food sciences, etc.).

Our institute was the first French structure created to train both agronomic engineers and doctors of veterinary medicine within a public scientific, cultural and professional establishement. Our model is conform to international models, reinforcing the international visibility of our structure.

With 1200 students and 120 professors - scientists reunited in this venture, VetAgroSup offers a high-level training and education in the life sciences that is both clear and comptetitive on a national, European and international level.

The Lyon veterinary campus (Marcy l'Etoile) and the Clermont agronomy campus (Lempdes) are both highly valued, offering recognized frameworks for the development of teaching and research.  Services provided are also offered to companies and professional partners: laboratory analyses, medical devices, consulting and expertise. The partner collectivities (Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne regions, Grand Lyon and Clermont Community, Rhone and Puy-de-Dôme departments ) can find a new link for the development of their competitiveness, scientific potential and international appeal.
